One home one goat project and A tank a home project
CWE-TECH has been empowering women by providing goats in the progrmme dubbed ‘One home one goat” CWE-TECH started by donating twenty goats to twenty homes. ‘ Upon reproduction, the goats are distributed to other homes and currently, over 300 homes has at least one goat each. The women groups are also engaged in other activities like banas and sweet potato farming and groundnuts milling.
CWE-TECH has also donated tanks to the women in a project called ‘A tank a home.’ This has ensured that the families have a clean reservoir for clean drinking water.
Women on greening
As a way of appreciating and preserving the environment, CWE-TECH has been encouraging women to plant trees in a greening project.
Economic empowerment in Kuria
CWE-TECH in partnership with Kuria Women Empowerment League (KWEL) celebrated Women’s Day; 8th March 2021 by appreciating the efforts made by women of Kuria in Migori County through presentations and giving of a presser in the media houses present. The theme of the function was: “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world,”
CWE-TECH capacity building on women managerial and social skills
CWE-TECH imparted savings and book keeping skills on women groups of Ramula HIV Support Group and Kakumu Widows of Kabondo, Homa Bay County. The women have also been encouraged to come together whenever they can to share on social issues.
