CWE-TECH covid-19 back to school debriefs and dignity packs
On 10th January, 2021, CWE-TECH partnered with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to sensitize girls on issues of Reproductive Health Rights and debriefs during the COVID-19 period. We also presented dignity kits to ensure that vulnerable and needy pupils’ settles well in classes after the long break.

This happened for the pupils of Gweno Kipodi and Jwelu Primary in Kabondo Kasipul Homa Bay County. Supported by Women in Water and Sanitation (WIWAS) and Kuria Women Empowerment League (KWEL).

CWE-TECH in partnership with Kuria Women Empowerment League (KWEL) carried out a youth activities on career mentorship and sex education at Ikerege Primary School in Kuria, Migori County.
CWE-TECH on 16 days of gender activism
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. It was started by activists at the inaugural Women’s Global Leadership Institute in 1991 and continues to be coordinated each year by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership. It is used as an organizing strategy by individuals and organizations around the world to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. CWE-TECH has been organizing programs for these days. Some of the activities carried out by CWETECH include:
16 Days of Gender Activism…..the procession from Litare junction to Kolunga Beach in Rusinga Island #Every Girl Counts
CWE-TECH also carried out 16 Days of Activism and World Human Rights Day Kaguria In Ndhiwa Homa Bay County…We were so touched by some of the girls’ testimonies e.g.. Getting married at 13, three kids at 22, back to school; being a mother, student and wife! Many girls face such and do not have second opportunity…. Aluta continua on girls’ issues! My gratitude goes to GBV Prevention Network Africa and DREAMS for making this day a success…
CWE-TECH has been carrying out World Mensuration Hygiene Management Day…..From Gweno Kipodi, Jwelu and Kowidi Primary Schools in Kabondo Kasipul!!!!! Sensitization of the pupils, students and community continues…..shyness must end; confidence must be built in our girls!!! It’s now or never….
