The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. It was started by activists at the inaugural Women’s Global Leadership Institute in 1991 and continues to be coordinated each year by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership. It is used as an organizing strategy by individuals and organizations around the world to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. CWE-TECH has been organizing programs for these days. Some of the activities carried out by CWETECH include:

CWE-TECH also carried out 16 Days of Activism and World Human Rights Day Kaguria In Ndhiwa Homa Bay County…We were so touched by some of the girls’ testimonies e.g.. Getting married at 13, three kids at 22, back to school; being a mother, student and wife! Many girls face such and do not have second opportunity…. Aluta continua on girls’ issues! My gratitude goes to GBV Prevention Network Africa and DREAMS for making this day a success…
