Dedicated to the mission of women empowerment

Centre for Women Empowerment in Technology(CWE-TECH) was founded in 2017 by two PhD researchers passionate about women’s empowerment. CWE-TECH works to bridge the gender gap in technology by promoting and strengthening the capacity of women and girls through mentorship and expanded access to and use of ICT in education, socio-economic empowerment, leadership, and network building across rural Kenya.
Driven by a passion to bridge the gender gap in technology through research and action.

"We believe that when you empower a woman with technology, you empower a community with limitless possibilities."

"Our mission is to ensure every girl and woman has the digital tools and confidence to shape their own future."
